課程顧問
Julian Cheng 課程顧問為行內製作專才，從事廣告音樂及多媒體創作多年，作品包括 Olay, Johnson and Johnson, Wong Lo Kat, 及 Northface 等。Julian 專長於電子音樂編曲 (Trance and Progressive)、錄音製作軟件包括 Digital Performer 及 Cubase VST 及其他軟件樂器等。

課程簡介
隨著互聯網絡發展迅速，在網絡上發佈自己的音樂作品已日趨流行，創作人可獨個兒建立屬於自己的音樂世界，並向全世界發表自己的音樂才華。繼來自國內的網上 歌曲「老鼠愛大米」後，「他約我去迪士尼」是另一首叫人挖目的歌曲，自香港網絡女歌手 Kelly Jackie 憑唱作這首網上歌曲而得到唱片公司賞識後，一些『自家』唱作的網絡音樂亦開始受到唱片公司及公眾的重視。

然而香港尚未有專為有志投入數碼音樂創作人的課程，令網絡音樂流於小眾娛樂。根據美國最近的一項 流行音樂市場調查顯示，網絡音樂人及網絡歌手在 2005 年大幅增長數百倍，這表示舊有的音樂市場架構起了革命性的變化。從前，音樂人必須加入唱片公司，然後才有機會等待安排透過媒體來發表作品；現在，音樂人只 需懂得數碼音樂製作的技術，便可上載自己的作品到互聯網絡上，直接讓全世界認識及欣賞。

關於 Propellerhead Reason 軟件
Propellerhead Reason 是一套功能強勁的音樂軟件，它可以將你的 PC/MAC 機變成充滿無限創意的電子樂器，再加上 USB/MIDI 控制鍵盤，便成為一組超強的音樂工作站。現時香港已有很多音樂人採用 Reason 來製作音樂。Reason 的軟件器材中，包括有一部相容於 WAV/AIFF 檔的取樣器，一部有兩個振盪發音件的合成器，一部有 10 個頻道的鼓音源器，一部 Rex 檔案播放機，並有一部 14 個頻道的混音器及一部數位效果處理器。你可以同時開啟數部器材，也不會影響到電腦 CPU 的運作。例如，如果你想要兩部不同的鼓音源機的音色，你可以將其鼓音源器開出兩部再各別去調整其不同的音色。Reason 可相容於有 ReWire 功能的軟件中，如 CUBASE VST、Digital Performer 及 Pro-tools 軟件等。有了 Reason 這一套軟件，在你的工作室中也就等於擁有一整個機櫃的器材。

Overview: Propellerhead Reason is an all-in-one virtual synthesizer with MIDI sequencer. It is widely used in Hip-hop, pop music industry. Instructor will demonstrate the functions of each virtual instrument, beat making, MIDI sequencing, mixing technique, and more etc. Students can understand the operation of Reason 3 completely and can produce their own music.
Course Highlight: This course will be taught by working professionals, who bring their real-world experience to the class. And we will also provide e-mail/forum support for all students during & after the class period.
Career prospect: Students who graduate from this course can work as Junior Electronic Musician, and Sound Designer etc.
